8 weeks of classes (one 1.5 hour session per week) - 12 hours of instruction, and additional homework review and support from instructors in between class sessions. This class is the next level after Beginner I. This class is part of the 1st year of our Greek Program, which brings students to A1 Modern Greek CEFR competency. This level focuses on Greek syntax, including adverbs, imperative forms, and fundamental structural clauses necessary for more complex sentence formation. Specifically, grammar taught at this level includes local and temporal adverbs: accusative forms of Greek personal pronouns (με, σε), the Greek simple imperative of regular and irregular verbs, use of Greek personal pronouns with the imperative (πείτε του), the Greek adjective πολύς / πολλή / πολύ (much/many/a lot), comparative forms of Greek adverbs, conditional clauses, and object/complement clauses (reported or special clauses). Vocabulary covered in this level includes Greek greetings and wishes, emotions, parts of the body, symptoms and treatment of illness. Students will develop speaking skills with regards to expressing emotions, visiting a doctor, and describing symptoms.

However, we do record classes to share with students who missed class whenever asked to do so in advance, so if you know you will miss class, please let us know and our instructors will record the session and share it with you afterwards so you can follow along asynchronous.
