Class Information
Overview
Our Quechua language program offers an immersive, culturally rich learning experience that blends grammar with active practice. Instructors use structured drills, interactive exercises, and cultural content like music, theater, and literature, along with fun activities such as games and role-play. This approach builds confidence and competence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Group
Our 8-week Quechua language group classes cover Quechua grammar fundamentals, writing and reading practice, pronunciation and conversation drills, key vocabulary, taught by experts of the Quechua Language. Classes are led by an instructor in real-time online on our online platform, allowing for the same live interaction as in-person classes. Our platform is designed to allow students to engage with each other and the instructor and to practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking the Quechua Language.
Private
Our private Quechua classes are fully tailored to meet each student's unique needs and learning goals, whether they are absolute beginners, heritage speakers, or advanced learners seeking specialized vocabulary. For heritage speakers, we emphasize grammar fundamentals and writing skills, approaching the language from a heritage speaker’s perspective to bridge any gaps in formal grammar and literacy. For students with specific professional goals, such as faire trade professionals working with artisans in Quechua-speaking regions or academics researching a field that required Quechua language knowledge, we customize lessons to cover technical vocabulary and practical phrases, enabling them to communicate confidently in relevant contexts. Private lessons are adaptable, allowing students to focus on areas of interest.
