Tuğçe
Film in Turkey Instructor

Biography
Tuğçe is a film critic, film studies scholar, and writer with over a decade of experience in both academia and the film industry. She has taught Film Criticism at Yeditepe University and Yeni Yüzyıl University, specializing in narrative analysis, genre theory, and contemporary cinematic discourse. At Halbuki Linguist Cooperative, she serves as the Film in Turkey Instructor, where she designs innovative courses that integrate film criticism and creative writing with language learning for non-native Turkish speakers.
Beyond the classroom, Tuğçe is a practicing journalist and critic: she hosts İyi Seyirler on BirGün TV (YouTube), writes regularly for BirGün Newspaper and Beyazperde.com, and reviews more than 50 films annually. Her professional and academic background — spanning archaeology, media production, and cultural heritage cinema — informs an interdisciplinary approach that connects visual storytelling with broader cultural and historical contexts.
