Service Description

This course includes 10 weeks of live online group Turkish classes (one 1.5 hour session per week) - a total of 15 hours of Turkish language instruction, and additional homework review and support from instructors in between class sessions. This class covers the first 3 chapters of the Elementary Turkish Textbook by Kurtuluş Öztopçu, including the following topics: Turkish Alphabet, Turkish Pronunciation, How to discuss Greetings and Farewells in Turkish, thanking/apologizing, Asking about health and wellbeing in Turkish, Introductions, Names, Numbers, Locations (locative case and related terms), Asking 'W' questions and 'yes/no' questions, Asking for directions, 2-way and 4-way vowel harmony, Long consonants, Derivative suffixes +lI, +siz, Personal pronouns, Present tense with the verb 'to be', Negations with değil, Plurals of nouns, Demonstratives, Conjunctions ve, ile, ama and others. The classes include Turkish grammar explanations, vocabulary and conversational practice, as well as introduction of Turkish cultural competency topics through relevant history and media. Cancellation Policy

No refunds for missed classes. However, we do record classes to share with students who missed class whenever asked to do so in advance, so if you know you will miss class, please let us know and our instructors will record the session and share it with you afterwards so you can follow along asynchronous.
