Service Description
8 weeks of Ukrainian language classes taught online in a group format (one 1.5 hour session per week) - 12 hours of instruction, and additional homework review and support from instructors in between class sessions. This class can be attended online from anywhere around the world via our online learning platform which connects students with instructors with video and a virtual class board. The number of students in the class is between 3 and 7. This level is the next one after one year (5 terms) of Ukrainian lessons. In this course, students will continue building their foundation in Ukrainian by learning essential grammar and expanding their vocabulary. Grammar topics include personal and possessive pronouns, the genitive case of personal pronouns, adjectives (gender and number), the infinitive, verb conjugations, and the present, past, and future tenses of the verb to be. Students will also practice using adverbs of frequency to describe daily habits. Vocabulary focuses on practical and engaging themes such as sports, hobbies, animals, furniture, colors, places and events in the city, directions, and everyday objects. Reading texts introduce cultural topics, including “Ukraine — a land of wonders” and the Seven Wonders of Ukraine, while dialogues, postcards, and thematic exercises encourage confident use of Ukrainian in everyday situations.
