Overview

Zazaki program logo_edited.png

Our Zazaki language program offers an immersive, culturally rich learning experience that blends Zazaki grammar knowledge with active speaking and listening practice. Our Zazaki instructors use structured drills, interactive exercises, and cultural content like music, theater, and literature, along with fun activities such as games and role-play. This approach builds confidence and competence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Zazaki. Our Zazaki language courses follow a textbook developed by our Senior Zazaki language instructor and can incorporate any of the dialects that students are intersted in learning.

Classes are led by an instructor in real-time online on our online platform, allowing for the same live interaction as in-person classes. Our platform is designed to allow Zazaki students to engage with each other and the instructor and to practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking Zazaki.

Our private Zazaki classes are fully tailored to meet each student's unique needs and learning goals, whether they are absolute beginners, heritage speakers, or advanced learners seeking specialized vocabulary. For heritage speakers, we emphasize grammar fundamentals and writing skills, approaching the language from a heritage speaker’s perspective to bridge any gaps in formal grammar and literacy. For students with specific professional goals, such as musicians working with on Zazaki songs or academics researching a field that required Zazaki language knowledge, we customize lessons to cover technical vocabulary and practical phrases, enabling them to communicate confidently in relevant contexts. Private lessons are adaptable, allowing students to focus on areas of interest.
