It's often seen as the simplest tense in Turkish grammar, but it does include some irregularities, specifically in certain verb stems. Below is the list of 13 verbs that are irregular in the Aorist tense.

  1. almak (to take) - alır

  2. bilmek (to know) - bilir

  3. bulmak (to find) - bulur

  4. durmak (to stop) - durur

  5. gelmek (to come) - gelir

  6. görmek (to see) - görür

  7. kalmak (to stay) - kalır

  8. olmak (to be) - olur

  9. ölmek (to die) - ölür

  10. sanmak (to suppose) - sanır

  11. varmak (to arrive) - varır

  12. vermek (to give) - verir

  13. vurmak (to hit) - vurur

These verbs are considered irregular because they don't follow the standard "-ar/-er" Aorist tense ending pattern after the verb root. Instead, they use "-ir/-ır/-ür/-ur".
