Advanced Conversational Turkish

Service Description

This course includes 8 weeks of conversational Turkish group classes (one 1 hour session per week) - a total of 8 hours of instruction. This class is best for students who have had completed our Intermediate levels (or the equivalent at other programs). Our advanced conversational Turkish classes are ideal for learners who have advanced Turkish skills and are ready to broaden their conversational skills in complex topics. Our very advanced conversational Turkish classes are designed for fluent speakers aiming to master the subtleties of the language and engage in high-level, nuanced communication. These sessions focus on sophisticated conversation topics such as current events, politics, economics, philosophy, and contemporary social issues. You'll discuss Turkish literature, media, and film, discuss cultural trends, and explore idiomatic expressions, regional dialects, and humor. Emphasis is placed on refining pronunciation, mastering formal and informal registers, and using advanced grammar structures with precision. Through debates, role-playing, and critical discussions, you'll develop the ability to express complex ideas, negotiate meaning, and communicate effectively in both professional and academic contexts.
